Tadoba creates a disease shield for its tigers

Following concerns over Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) spreading from stray dogs to wild carnivores, Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve has vaccinated more than 2,300 dogs and sterilised nearly 2,000 in surrounding villages. The programme is being viewed as a model for disease prevention in tiger landscapes.
